Marie Bishop

Marie L. Bishop, 64, of Staunton, died Tuesday, February 1, 2005.

She was born August 12, 1940 at Monterey a daughter of the late Curtis Lee and Dorothy Elizabeth Johnson Rexrode.

On September 17, 1960, she married Glen Elbert Bishop, who preceded her in death on November 23, 1998.

Mrs. Bishop was employed by Virginia Trout Company.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and John Samples of Middletown, Ohio and Glenda and Eddie Blackwell of Churchville; two grandsons, Charles and James Samples; five sisters, Curtisene Adams of Maryland, Nina Conner of Roanoke, Sarah Hite of Fishersville, Jane Morgan of Crimora and Donna Dillard of Stuarts Draft and two brothers, Thurllo Rexrode of New Castle and Nathan Rexrode of Blue Grass.

A graveside will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, February 4, 2005 at Head Waters Cemetery by the Rev. Donald E. Rose.

There will be no formal visitation and the casket will be closed.
