Marguerite "Rita" Robinson
November 8, 1916 — September 3, 2007
Marguerite “Rita” Pauline (Mitchell) Robinson, 90, passed from this veil of tears to be with her loving savior Jesus Christ, Monday, September 3, 2007. She passed while in the loving arms of her son, R.D. Robinson at his home in Williamsville, VA. Rita had been visiting with her son and daughter-in-law, Sandra Robinson since late July and was here awaiting the birth of her latest great-grandchild.
Rita was born in West palm Beach, FL on November 8, 1916. She is survived by her son, R.D. Robinson of Williamsville, VA and her daughter, Linda Shirey of Okeechobee, FL. Survivors also include her grandchildren, Steve Robinson of Warrenton, VA; Melissa R. Spittle of Blacksburg, VA; Suzanne S. Churlik of Cleveland, TN; Amanda S. Kahoe of Homestead, FL and great-grandchildren, Ashley N. Herwald, Christopher L. and Molly Catherine Robinson, Christopher and Keith Lawrence, Conner Kahoe, Savannah and Lily Churlik.
A service will be held at the McDowell Presbyterian Church on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be sent to McDowell Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 66, McDowell, VA 24458.
