Margie Wimer

Margie (Rexrode) Wimer, 90 of Blue Grass died Saturday, December 21, 1996 at Camelot Nursing Home, Harrionburg.

She was born February 27, 1906 at Thornwood, WV, a daughter of Henry Boyd Rexrode and Maggie Lou Tracy.

On February 4, 1924, she married Joseph Houston Wimer.

She was a homemaker. She was a member of Crabbottom Presbyterian church for 61 years and a member of the senior citizens' group.

Surviving are two daughters, Kathleen Smith of Monterey and Dorotha Stone of Franklin, WV; five grandchildren and a great-grandson.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Margaret Lois Wimer and Mrs. Nathan (Gretta) Johnson.

A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by pastor Peggy Hurlbutt, with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Olin Sponaugle, Steven Johnson, Wilson Smith, Jack McConnell, Robin Warner and Lee Washburn.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7-8 tonight at Obaugh Funeral Home.
