Margaret Hodge

Margaret Arlene Hodge, 65, of Head Waters, died December 27, 1997 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born June 8, 1932 in Highland County, a daughter of Eli and Ida Jane (Eckard) Puffenbarger.

Mrs. Hodge was employed at DuPont.

On October 25, 1952, she married Eugene A. Hodge Sr. of Head Waters, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Dianna L. Yancey of Linville and three sons, Eugene A. Hodge Jr., Marvin L. Hodge and Terry W. Hodge, all of Staunton and two brothers, Charles and Jessie L. Puffenbarger, both of Churchville; three sisters, Cleta McCray, Ruby Lee Spitzer and Norma Jean Eutsler, all of Staunton; and nine grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted Tuesday, December 30, at 1 p.m. in the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Lester LaPrade.

Burial will be in Head Waters Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Hodge, Kevin Hodge, Kenneth Hodge, Michael Hodge, Earl Puffenbarger, Charles Puffenbarger Jr., Kevin Eutsler, Robert Spitzer Jr. and Ray Yancey Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be friend attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7:30-8:30 Monday evening at the funeral home.
