Mabel Herold Sullenberger

Mabel (Herold) Sullenberger, 90, of Monterey, died Saturday, May 7, 1994 at the University Park Nursing Home in Richmond.

She was born April 16, 1904 in Mill Gap, a daughter of Horace Frye and Millie (Gilmore) Herold.

She was a member of Monterey Presbyterian Church.

Her husband, Samuel S. Sullenberger, preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters, Millie S. Beverage of Richmond, and Sue Scott Sullenberger of Glen Allen; a sister, Nelle Talbot of Grass Valley, California; two grandsons, Charles B. Beverage Jr. of Richmond, and Luther Scott Beverage of Franklin, WV; granddaughter, Elizabeth B. Falkner of Henderson, N.C.; and six great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Monterey Cemetery by the Revs. C. William Cox, James Tongue and Robert Haley.

Pallbearers will be Herbert Lightner, James Thompson, Ralph Swecker, Jacob Hevener, Garland Dever and William Niswander.

There will be no public viewing.
