Luella McFadden

April 2, 1914 — November 30, 2010

Luella Virginia McFadden, 96, of Bolar passed away Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at Bath Community Hospital.  She was born April 2, 1914 near Bolar, a daughter of the late David Marvin and Nellie Belle (Mackey) Lockridge.

Mrs. McFadden was a homemaker and a member of the Daughters’ of the American Revolution.  She loved cooking, gardening and enjoyed reading.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Arthur Brown Cauley and her second husband, William Edwin McFadden and a son, William “Billy” McFadden, Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary L. Harold and husband, Randolph of Mill Gap and Gayle Castillo of Staunton; three sons, James E. Cauley and wife, Lois of Hot Springs, Arthur B. Cauley and wife, Joan of Mechanicsville and David M. Cauley and wife, Shirley of Monterey; six grandchildren, Mike and David Cauley, Wade Harold, Debbie Jenkins, Kay Hull and Heather

Harold-Schildt; seven great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m., Friday, December 3, 2010 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell with the Rev. Clayton Payne officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in the Deerfield Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
