Lloyd Randolph Samples, 66, of Monterey, died July 17, 1995, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.
Mr. Samples was born October 9, 1925, in Monterey and was the sone of Lloyd and Margie Beverage Samples.
He served in the Army during the Korean War and was a farmer and logger. He had been employed at the Monterey Livestock Market for a number of years and was a member of the Seybert Chapel United Methodist Church.
On September 15, 1962, he married the former Anna Lee Siron, who survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Rebecca S. Dever of Monterey; as well as two granddaughters.
The Revs. Robert Haley and Timothy Strock will conduct the funeral at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell. Burial will be in the Samples Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friend 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
