Linda Nipper

Linda Carol Nipper, 71, of Monterey, went to be with her Lord, Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville.

She was born May 20, 1951 in Augusta County, a daughter of the late Okie Alexander and Elizabeth “Libby” (Grogg) Nipper.

A longtime resident of Highland County, Linda was a member of Church of God of Prophecy. Linda loved being in the kitchen helping her caregivers with dinner, making sure they fixed it right and she especially liked dessert. She liked all animals and was an avid bird watcher. Linda enjoyed going into town visiting the Video Den, Attic and Dollar General with her caregivers and receiving emails on her voice activated computer. She loved watching westerns with her brother, John. Above all Linda will be remembered for her good sense of humor, always enjoying a good joke!

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Elizabeth Ann Nipper.

She is survived by her brother, John Robert Nipper of Monterey; many cousins and caregivers.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Saturday, June 18, 2022 in Union Chapel Cemetery in Blue Grass with Rev. Ray Turner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Highland County Volunteer Rescue Squad, PO Box 268, Monterey, Va. 24465
