Lillian Mullenax

Lillian Grace Mullenax, 89, of Fishersville and formerly of Churchville, passed away Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011 at Shenandoah Nursing Home.
She was born March 13, 1922 in Highland County, a daughter of the late Loyd and Lela Sponaugle Wimer.
On July 29, 1961, she married Ben Mullenax, who preceded her in death on May 14, 1994. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Ester Wagner and Anna Lee Hevener; and two brothers, Raymond and Roland Wimer.
Mrs. Mullenax was a member of Saint James United Methodist Church in Churchville, and a retired secretary from Holsom Bakery in Verona. She enjoyed gardening and flowers.
She is survived by a sister, Geneva Sheets of Staunton; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 18, at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell with the Rev. Andre Crummett officiating.
Burial was in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronald, Steven and Kevin Wimer, Billy Mullins, J.T. Wimer, Dee Newcomb, Brad, Michael and Darryl Lee Wagner.
