Lenora Pullin Hook, 93, of Arch Avenue and formerly of Head Waters, died Sunday morning, August 20, 1995 at the home of Wayne and Frances Brooks, with whom she had made her home for two years.
She was born in Highland County on November 15, 1901, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Wooddell) Pullin. She married Sandy C. Hook, who preceded her in death on January 15, 1974.
She was a member of Head Waters Presbyterian Church and was a school teacher in Highland County for a number of years.
Surviving are a daughter, Dixie Miller of Waynesboro; a step-daughter, Sandy H. Tilley of Staunton; two sisters, Vada Tuning and Mary Chloe Pullin, both of Staunton; three grandchildren; an a great-grandchild.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Lester LaPrade with burial in Head Waters Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Botkin, Nelson Simmons, Thomas Jones, Billy Wheeler, Gilmer Ervine, and Bill Puffenbarger.
Honorary pallbearers will be nieces, nephews and friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
