Lena Hise

Lena Halterman Hise, 79, formerly of Hightown died Friday, June 23, 1995 at District Home in Waynesboro.

She was born December 24, 1915 at Bartow WV, a daugter of Joseph C. and Cora (Wooddell) Halterman.

On November 23, 1938, she married Clarence Hise. She was a member of Pisgah Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Nancy H. Newman of Blue Grass and Shirley H. Culbert of Richmond; two sonss, Clarence Hise Jr. and Ralph G. Hise, both of Staunton; two sisters, Mary Jane Deeter and Charlise Seeley of Cochranton, Pa. and one brother, Raymond Halterman of Cochrantown; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Grossman, brother Jesse Halterman, and a grandson, Craig Puffenbarger.

A service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday in the Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Richard Gibson with burial in the Monterey Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Lance, Luke and  Jason Hise, Jacob Hevener, Leo Gum and Jim Stephenson. Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at the funeral Home in McDowell.
