Lee Hodge

Lee Clemmer Hodge, 51, of Swoope, died on Tuesday, December 22, 1998 at his residence.

He was born on August 13. 1947, a son of Ruby Leigh (Wilfong) and Roy Lee Hodge.

He was a self-employed floor mechanic, being under contract for Morris Paint and Wall Paper, Inc. He had been previously employed at Smiley Tile. He volunteered his services to community organizations.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Faye (Shumaker) Hodge of Swoope; his mother, Runy L. Hodge, of Stuarts Draft; three daughters, Tonya Hodge of Swoope, Cindy Hodge of Staunton and Tammy Anderson of Head Waters; a son, Kenneth Lee Hodge of Staunton; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Lucille and Kenneth Garrison of Frederick, Md., Wilma and Roger Sensabaugh of Lexington, Betty and David Niece of Hunting, WV, and Christine and Dale Moran of Stuarts Draft; four brothers and three sisters-in-law,  John and Diane of Mount Crawford, Gene of  Head Waters, Ray and Doris of Staunton and Jerry and Wanda Hodge of Churchville; and seven grandchildren, Scott and Holly Snead of Churchville, Karissa Hodge of Staunton, Justin Mitchell of Head Waters, Brittany Blackwell, Nathaniel Martin and Joseph Halterman of Staunton.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Charlotte Varner; two brothers, Garland and Wilbur Hodge; and a son-in-law, Clifford Anderson.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today at Head Waters Presbyterian Church by the Revs. Lester LaPrade and Dennis Sites, with burial to follow.

Pallbearers will be Jim Smiley, Bob Morris, Randy, Philip and Charlie Layman and Cecil Grimm.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

Memorials may be made to the Rockingham Memorial Hospital Cancer Center, 100 E. Grace St., Harrisonburg or Rockingham Memorial Hospital, 235 Cantrell Ave., Harrisonburg, Va. 22801.
