Leda S. Siron, 96, of Doe Hill, died Wednesday, May 17, 2000 at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 7, 1904, at McDowell, a daughter of William Lyman and Sarah Margaret (McCoy) Siron.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and she attended the United Methodist Women’s meeting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Clinton Siron, on March 17, 1957; two daughters, Opal and Iva Siron; two granddaughters, Donna and Christine Beverage; three sisters; and four brothers. She was the last of her immediate family of eight children.
Survivors include two daughters, Helen S. Cash and May S. Welcher, both of Staunton; a son, David Leon Siron of Doe Hill; a grandson and wife, Fred A. Jr. and Debbie Beverage of Staunton; and two great-grandchildren, Amanda and David Beverage.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles W. Townsend, with burial in McKendree Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be James and Harry Sponaugle, Gary Rexrode, Vernon Wooddell, Rudolph Siron, Fred Beverage Jr. and Steve and Lyle Armstrong.
Honorary pallbeares will be friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at the funeral home.
