Leatha Selmon

Leatha C. Selmon, 82, of Staunton, died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at her home. She was born August 1, 1925 at Mustoe a daughter of the late Frank Cameron and Bessie Mae (Halterman) Harris.
Mrs. Selmon had worked at Hanover Shoe Company and Aileen, Inc.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan C. Selmon and by three brothers and a sister.
She is survived by eight sons, Nathan Selmon of Hightown, Aggie Selmon of New Hope, Ralph Selmon of Cherry Grove, WV, Ronald Selmon of Monterey, Andrew Selmon of Staunton, Dallas Selmon of Grottoes, Donald Selmon of Greenville and David Selmon of Staunton; a brother, Edmund Harris of Grottoes and two sisters, Lucille Carpenter of Waynesboro and Helen Rexrode of Warm Springs; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, September 17, 2007 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Richard Gibson. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
