Lawrence Lawson Lowry, 68, of Blue Grass died on Friday morning, September 4, 1992 at Bath County Community Hospital.

He was born on August 17, 1924 at Mustoe, a son of James and Viola (Edmund) Lowry.

He had worked as a woodsman and for the city of Waynesboro for 11 years. He was baptized in the United Methodist Church.

He is survived by four sisters, Janet Burns and Irene Mary Hise, both of Monterey, Myrtle Virginia Via of Staunton and Catherine Hise of Fishersville; three brothers, Herman of Crimora, Leo of Fort Defiance and Bedford Lowry of Waynesboro; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Edward Guldenschuh, with burial in Blue Grass Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Collidge Jr., Richard and David Hise and James, Delmas, Burleus and James H. Lowry.

Nieces will be flowerbearers.
