Lacy Lee Roberts, age 71, of Burnsville, died Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at his home.
He was born March 31, 1934 at Burnsville a son of the late Clarence Lacy and Mary Virginia (Pullin) Roberts. On April 19, 1957, he married Jean Audrey Burns.
Mr. Roberts was a farm laborer. He was a member of the Burnsville United Methodist Church and Cavern Valley Civic Organization.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Randall and Cletis Roberts, Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Roberts of Burnsville, four daughters, Betty Lockridge and her husband, Joseph of Burnsville; Nancy Colvin and her husband, Marshall of Hot Springs; Connie Hammer of Burnsville and Theresa Beall of Hot Springs; two sons, Ralph Roberts of Burnsville and Jeffrey Roberts and his wife, Paula of Hot Springs; twelve grandchildren, Christopher Stanley, Curtis and Anthony Lockridge, Tracy Roberts, Tiffany Beall, Casey and Lawrence Woodson, Candace Hammer, Kimberly, Samantha, Tabetha and Jay Cook; four brothers, Richard, Grady, Sr., Roscoe and Raymond Roberts; a sister, Maudy Schurtz and two special family friends, Warren Burns and Caleb McCallister.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2006 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by Donald Altizer and Pastor Debbie Carey.
Burial will be in the Burnsville Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Christopher Stanley, Curtis and Anthony Lockridge, Grady Roberts, Jr., Jay Cook, Leonard Neil, Fred Randozza, Matt Quantz. Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7p.m. to 9p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
