Lacy Tines Palmer, 80, of Monterey, died on Friday, June 18, 1993 at King's Daughters' Hospital.
He was born on June 29, 1912 at Craigsville, a son of Ollie and Lucie (Botkin) Palmer.
He was a member of Seybert Chapel Church. He was employed by VDOT in Highland County for 11 years, worked at Northern Virginia Doctors Hospital in Arlington for three years and retired from Arlington Refuse Co. after 10 years of service.
Surviving are his widow, Catherin Palmer of Monterey; a half-sister, Juanita Armentrout of Waynesboro; and brother, Lloyd Palmer.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. David Schill and Jerry Ginn, with burial in Monterey Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill and Alvie Gum, Lye Palmer, Tom Crickenberger, Bill Niswander and Kenneth Hopkins.
