Katherine Pullin

Katherine T. Pullin, 94, of Waynesboro, died Friday, September 16, 2005 at Augusta Medical Center.

She was born September 25, 1910 in Highland County, a daughter of the late John Alexander and Bessie Viola McAllister Terry.

Mrs. Pullin was a member of Hamilton Chapel Advent Christian Church. She was a private duty L.P.N. She belonged to The National Federation of Licensed Practical Nurses Asson. And Women’s Home and Foreign Missions.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lloyd A. Bussard on September 21, 1967 and her second husband, Theodore Pullin on December 17, 1999; four brothers, Ernest, Johnny, Billy and Jackie Terry; two sisters Jean T. Layman and Chlorene T. Layman and an infant granddaughter, Catherine Rae Bussard.

She is survived by a son, Raymond Arthur Bussard and his wife, Ruth, of Knoxville, Tenn; three granddaughters, Terry B. Hughes and her husband, Ronald, of Norfolk; Christy R. Bussard of Oceanside, Cali.,  and Jacqueline Rae Bertucci and her husband, Christopher, of Knoxville, Tenn.; a great-grandson, Christopher Henry Bertucci; two sisters, Ellen T. Bussard and her husband, Ward, of Monterey and Leoma Terry of Richmond and two sisters-in-law, Daisy D. Terry of Bolar and Virginia Faurote of Hot Springs.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Sunday, September 18, 2005 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Donald E. Rose.

Burial will be in Big Valley Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Tommy Terry, Paul Terry, Joe Tuning, Billy May, Frank Pullin, Lowell Terry, Stephen Terry and Tommy Lotts.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

The family will received friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Big Valley Cemetery, c/o Vesta Ruckman or Hamilton Chapel Cemetery c/o Melody Moats.
