Juanita Pennybacker

Juanita (Swecker) Pennybacker, 81, of Blue Grass, died on Tuesday, March 10, 1998 at her residence.

She was born on June 17, 1916, at Blue Grass, a daughter of Eldridge and Almeda (Colaw) Swecker.

She retired from Walter Reid Hospital at Washing, was a member of Monterey Presbyterian Church, the Women's Circle and a member of the Easter Star for more than 50 years.

On May 30, 1941, she was married to Johnny Wyatt Pennybacker.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a sister, Rachel Fisher of Waynesboro; an a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Bill Moore, with burial in Blue Grass Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.

Friends may call at the residence or at the funeral home at McDowell any time.

Memorials may be made to Blue Grass Cemetery, Blue Grass, Va. 24413.
