Jr. Stephenson

Robert "R.E." Elkins Stephenson, Jr., 46, of Williamsville, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015 at his home. He was born February 16, 1968 in Hot Springs a son of the late Robert Elkins and Lydia Emma (Bauer) Stephenson. R.E. was a self-employed carpenter with S & S Carpentry and a past hunting guide. He was a member of Williamsville Presbyterian Church and Bath-Highland Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid photographer. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Lee and Alan Dale Deel and his nephew, Billy Deel. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Stephenson of Millboro Springs; step-son, Brandon Thomas of Mitchelltown; two sisters, Barbara (Deel) Mernin and husband, Tom of Williamsburg and Mary Lee (Stephenson) Jackson and husband, Terry of Burnsville; brother, Billy Deel and wife, Pam of Hot Springs and a number of nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Williamsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Williamsville Cemetery, c/o Robert Marshall, 13039 Tower Hill Rd, Williamsville, VA 24487.
