Jerry "June" Stanley

Jerry “June” Wayne Stanley, Jr., age 33, of Staunton, died Wednesday, December 20, 2006. He was born October 20, 1973 in Bath County a son of Jerry W., Sr. and Nancy Rexrode Stanley of Mt. Solon.
June was a construction worker and loved to play guitar and go camping.
Surviving in addition to his parents is a sister, Paula Stanley of Deerfield; a nephew, Jeremy Stanley; three aunts, Charlotte Botkin of Monterey, Maxine Simmons of Churchville and Brenda Puffenbarger of Staunton; four uncles, Bub Rexrode of Monterey, Rusty Rexrode of Millboro, James Stanley of Buena Vista and George Stanley, Jr. of Glasgow and a number of cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Randolph and Edith Rexrode, paternal grandparents, George, Sr. and Dorothy Stanley and two aunts, Barbara Jean Mitchell and Betty Ann Lotts.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 23, 2006 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by Rev. Lester LaPrade. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Eric McDaniel, Trey Williams, Rocky Waybright, C.R. Simmons, Todd Frye, Jeremy Stanley, Chris and Jamie Rexrode.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
