Jenny Lee Moats, 64, of McDowell, died Wednesday, February 7, 2001 at McDowell.
She was born September 9, 1936, at Head Waters, a daughter of Elbert Harvey and Bessie Jane (Huffman) Puffenbarger.
On March 28, 1959, she married James L. Moats of McDowell.
She was a member of the McDowell Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and attended McDowell United Methodist Church. She was a supervisor of the Kings’ Daughter’s Hospital Snack Bar for 20 years before her retirement.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Steve Burns, Patsy and Gary Rexrode and Penny and David Booth, all of McDowell; two sisters, Glenna Dale Kirkpatrick of Staunton and Bonnie Pitsenbarger of Baltimore; two brothers, Archie of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and Howard Puffenbarger Sr. of Monterey; five grandchildren, Lisa Burns of Staunton, Kevin Burns of McDowell, Meagan Rexrode of McDowell, Brittany and Kasey Booth, both of McDowell; three special friends, Edna Mae Booth, Ruth Hiner and Marty Brooks, all of McDowell; nieces; and nephews.
A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. Charles W. Townsend and Jerry Ginn, with burial in McKendree Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Howard Kelley, Worthie Pitsenbarger, Delmas and Richard Moats, Larry Morris and Junior Puffenbarger.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at the funeral home. Friends may call at the home at any time.
