Janet Pulley

Janet Wimer Pulley, 87, of Springfield, formerly of Blue Grass, died on March 15, 2004 at Sunrise Assisted Living in Springfield.

She was born August 13, 1916 in Blue Grass, the daughter of Frank Cameron and Bonnie Kate Wimer.

Mrs. Pulley graduated from James Madison University in 1939 and worked as an elementary school teacher for the Arlington County Public Schools system for 29 years before retiring in 1978.

She was preceded in death by four sisters; Margaret Hull, Virginia Hammer, Ruth Mauzy, Kathryn Mauzy, and three brothers, Miller, Alfred and Eugene Wimer.

She is survived by a sister, Dorothy Hevener of Harrisonburg; two sons, Julian of Springfield and Frank of Bethesda, Md.; four granddaughters and four great-granddaughters; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A graveside memorial service will be held at the Blue Grass Cemetery at 11 a.m., Friday, May 21, 2004.
