James Andrew “Andy” Hupman, 63, of Ruckman Lane, Hightown, passed away, Saturday, December 8, 2018 at his home.
He was born May 31, 1955 at Bath County Hospital, son to the late James Leonard and Mildred Hope (Huffman) Hupman of Mustoe.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors admiring everything that nature has to offer. He was an experienced truck driver, an occupation he learned from his father. Following high school, Andy began employment with D.E. King Electrical, then went on to drive for Highland Oil, Hooke Brother’s Lumber Company and ultimately Hinkle Trucking Inc. He attended the former Union Chapel United Methodist Church and most recently Highland Baptist Church.
Andy never knew a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. He will be remembered as a loving and attentive husband, father, brother, uncle, friend and story teller to all.
He is survived by his wife, Judy W. Hupman, whom he adored; beloved son, Michael Hupman and wife, Rain; brothers, Charles and Jessor Hupman; sister, Sueanne Kimble; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Obaugh Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating.
The family will receive friends 1:30-3 p.m., prior to the service.
