Ina Puffenbarger Wimer, 82, of Staunton and formerly of Blue Grass, died Saturday, September 13, 2003 at Oak Hill Center.
She was born April 30, 1921 in Blue Grass, a daughter of the late Albert and Eliza Fleisher Puffenbarger.
On January 10, 1946, she married Raymond Loyd Wimer, who survives.
Mrs. Wimer retired from Aileen, Inc. in 1983 when the plant closed, and she was a past member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Newlen and Lillian Puffenbarger, and a brother, Harry Puffenbarger.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Nancy Wimer of Richmond and Donna Wimer of Waynesboro; a grandson, Justin Wimer; a sister Gladys Mullenax of Franklin, W.Va.; a brother, Dale Puffenbarger of Blue Grass and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 16, at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Andre Crummett.
Burial was in Blue Grass Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Ronald and Steven Wimer, Roy Kimble Jr., Julian Folks, Ralph Newlen, Bill Mullenax, Alan Puffenbarger and Lanny Wimer.
Honorary pallbearers were friends attending the service.
