Howard "Bubby" Kelley

Howard Edward “Bubby” Kelley, 74, of McDowell, died Thursday, December 17, 2009 at his home. He was born August 1, 1935 in Fishersville a son of the late Frank and Hallie (Townsend) Kelley.
Mr. Kelley was a member of the McDowell Presbyterian Church and served in the Army National Guard. He retired from American Safety Razor after 38 years of service. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Marie (Hatcher) Kelley, whom he married on October 21, 1960; two daughters, Pam B. Kelley and Terry K. Hogsett, both of Staunton; a grandson, Michael W. Hogsett of Staunton and two sisters, Frances K. “Punkie” Wood of Staunton and Virginia “Snookie” Hargraves of Tampa, FL.
A graveside service will be conducted 1 p.m., Monday, December 21, 2009 at Oak Lawn Memory Gardens with the Rev. Beth Pyles officiating.
There will be no public viewing or visitation at the funeral home. Friends may call at the home.
