Howard Halterman

Howard Lester Halterman, 81, died Monday morning, March 30, 1998 at Augusta Medical Center.

He was born on june 6, 1916, at Highland county, a son of William M. and Elsie (Propst) Halterman.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and a livestock farmer.

On January 28, 1939, he married Marie White Halterman, who resides at Stuarts Draft Christian Home.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, William E. and Sandra Halterman of Staunton; two sisters, Anita Rexrode of Monterey and Sadie Folks of Fishersville; a brother, Hubert Halterman of Monterey; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday by the Rev. Jerry Ginn at Blue Grass Cemetery. Friends may call at Obaugh Funeral Home at anytime.
