Herman Lowry, 81, of Waynesboro died Wednesday night, September 30, 1992 at Waynesboro Community Hospital.
He was born June 11, 1911 at Mustoe, a son of James A. and Viola (Edmund) Lowry. He was a woodsman and had retired from the city of Waynesboro in 1971.
Survivors include four sons, Berleus H. and James H., both of Waynesboro, Edward W. of Mustoe and Clinton M. Lowry of Bedford County; four sisters, Janet Burns and Irene Hise, both of Monterey, Catherine Hise of Fishersville and Virginia Via of Staunton; two brothers, Leo of Fort Defiance and Bedford Lowry of Waynesboro; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home Home by the Rev. David Schill with burial in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Mustoe.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Batton, Ernest Hartless, Jimmy Lowry, Sammy Shifflett, Toby and Leon Harris.
The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.
