Henry “Edison” McDaniel, 56, of Hot Springs, died Thursday, June 16, 2005, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.
Mr. McDaniel was born June 7, 1949, in Bath County the son of the late Henry Milton and Frances Catherine Hodge McDaniel.
He and his wife owned and operated Bolar Flats Marina at Lake Moomaw. He was an inspector for Mattern & Craig Engineering and for the Town of Monterey. He was a member of the Bath County Chamber of Commerce.
On January 20, 1968, he married Linda Varner, who survives.
He is also survived by two sons, William R. McDaniel of Franklin, W.Va. and Eric T. McDaniel of Monterey; three sisters, Reba M. Cammock of Hot Springs, Shirley M. Terry of Harrisonburg and Carol Ward of Eden, N.C.; three brothers, James S. McDaniel of Verona, Roy S. McDaniel of Charlottesville, and Lanier McDaniel of Harrisonburg; a granddaughter and a number of nieces and nephews.
The Rev. Frankie Neff will conduct the funeral at 3 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral Home. Visitation will follow.
