Henry Botkin

Henry Jones Botkin, 89, of Head Waters, died on Sunday, November 29, 1998 at his residence.

He was born on May 21, 1909, at Highland County, a son of James and Dorothy C. (McCray) Botkin.

He was a famer, a member of Crummett Run Church of the Brethren and served in the Army during WWII.

He is survived by a brother, Clyde Puffenbarger of Head Waters; three nieces, Isabelle P. Kincaid of Verona, Mae B. Kimble of Littlestown, Pa. and Pauline G. Breeden of Staunton; and a nephew, Richard E. Simmons of Churchville.

A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles W. Townsend, with burial at the Botkin Family Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Nelson and Allen Simmons, Wilmer Botkin, Elden Puffenbarger, Danny Snook and Harry Breeden.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the servgice.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Obaugh Funeral Home.
