Hazel Hiner

February 18, 1919 — July 4, 1999

Hazel Elouise Hiner, 80, formerly of Mustoe, died Sunday July 4, 1999 at Augusta Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at Fishersville.

She was born February 18, 1919, at Mustoe, a daughter of James Ellet and Hattie (Accord) Hiner.

She was a member of the Monterey Presbyterian Church, having taught Sunday School there for 12 years and had been a nurse for local doctors in Highland County.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Aubrey W. Hiner.

Survivors include three brothers, Arnold Hiner and James Ottobine Hiner, both of Waynesboro and Arnet Hiner of Lyndhurst; a sister, Jane Peery of Bridgewater; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. James W. Moore. Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Hiner, Reggie Hiner, David Lilly, Randy Woods, Nelson grove and Kenny Fisher. Flower girls will be nieces.

The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Highland Chapter, Monterey, Va. 24465.
