Hallie Juanita (Gilmore) Connell

Hallie Juanita Gilmore Connell, 71, of Monterey died July 6, 1994, at her home on Back Creek.

Mrs. Connell was born October 7, 1922, at Canton, Pa., and was a daughter of the late Lloyd McNeil and Helen Rush Hoffman Gilmore.

She was a member of the Methodist Church. She was past matron of the Falmouth Massachusetts Order of the Eastern Star No. 138 and a member of the Franklin, WV, Order of the Eastern Star. She retired from the Massachusetts Social Services in Falmouth.

On March 8 1942, he married William Lawrence Connell, who survives.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Berna Carpenter of Bolar, Betty Gurney of East Bridgewater, Mass. and Mary Ellen Robitaille of Virginia Beach; two sons, Thomas R. Connell of Marblehead, Mass., and John F.W.L. Connell of Uxbridge, Mass.; a sister, Jesse Lowry of Monterey; 18 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The Revs. Robert Haley and C. William Cox will conduct the funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Monterey Cemetery.
