Glenna Puffenbarger

Glenna Elizabeth Puffenbarger, 78, of Sugar Grove, WV, died on Friday, December 8, 1995 at her residence.

She was born on September 8, 1917 at Sugar Grove, a daughter of Gordon and Lula (Puffenbarger) Smith.

She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, VFW Post 9666 Auxiliary and the Senior Citizens. She had been employed by Wampler Foods Inc.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Puffenbarger.

Surviving are two daughters, Loretha P. Bland of Harrisonburg and Charlene Parrish of New Castle, Okla.; four sons, Thurman, Kenneth D. and Bobby, all of Sugar Grove and Jimmy Puffenbarger of Rising Sun, Md.; eight sisters, Sheba Rexrode of Doe Hill, Va., Vada Wilfong of Sugar Grove, Charlotte Eckard of Harrisonburg, Va., Jane Downs of Lorton, Va., Cleo Simmons and Wilda McDorman, both of Stauntn Va., Wanda Pitsenbarger of Franklin and Wiladene Simmons of Sugar Grove; two brothers, Cletus and Stanley Smith, both of Harrisonburg; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Calvary Lutheran Church by the Rev. Robert Schmidt, with burial in Crummett Run Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters and friends attending the service.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Lutheran Church.

Memorials may be made to South Fork Rescue Squad.
