Glenna Curry

January 9, 1908 — June 11, 2000

Glenna Smith Curry, 92, formerly of Mill Gap, died Sunday, June 11, 2000 at King’s Daughters’ Community Health and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born January 9, 1908 at Highland County a daughter of James Sherman and Sarah Catherine (Crummett) Smith.

She was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two grandsons, Jerry W. Curry, of Mill Gap and Dallas John Curry, of Waynesboro; a granddaughter, Pam Sweeny, of Boones Mill; a sister-in-law, Mary Smith of Blue Grass; and seven great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning at Green Hill United Methodist Church by the Revs. Jerry Ginn and C. William Cox, with burial in Green Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Steven Wimer, Joe Simmons, J.D. Brock, Phillip Burns, George Bird, Dwayne Hise and Darrell Gumm Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors.

The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Obaugh Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to King’s Daughters’ Community Health and Rehabilitation Center.
