Gertrude Bratton

Gertrude Blagg Bratton, 97, of El Cajon, Ca. formerly of Doe Hill, Va., died Friday, January 16, 1998 at Somerset Immediate Care Facility.

She was born April 12, 1900 in Doe Hill. She married Albert S. Bratton, who preceded here in death in 1937.

She was a member of the Doe Hill United Methodist Church. Before her retirement she was a nurse's aide.

She is survived by one son, John S. Bartley of San Diego, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, January 24, at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Charles Townsend. A graveside service will be held in the Bratton Family Cemetery at Millboro at approximately 12:30 p.m.
