George “Everett” Bodkin, 54, of Sugar Grove, WV passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at his home. He was born December 25, 1957 at Crummett Run, a son of Faye Rexrode Bodkin and the late Raymond Sebastian Bodkin, Sr.
Everett was a member of the Crummett Run Church of the Brethren and attended Frances Asbury United Methodist Church. He had worked at Rainbow Farms in the poultry houses.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Ann Bodkin, whom he married on June 6, 2008; his mother, Faye Bodkin; two brothers, Raymond Bodkin, Jr. and Dennis Bodkin all of Sugar Grove, WV.; nephew, Jim Bodkin and wife, Vicky of Clover Hill; three sisters-in-law, Elvie Knighten and Donna McDorman, both of Harrisonburg and Sharon Galford and husband, Raymond of Dayton.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Bodkin.
A funeral service will conducted 11 a.m., Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell with the Revs. Cindy Skinner and Pat Godfrey officiating.
Burial will follow in Crummett Family Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ronnie and Mike Lambert, Larry Joe Rexrode, Robert Avery, Raymond Galford, Dave Rexrode, Jeff Bowers and Nelson Simmons.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of Frances Ashby United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Obaugh Funeral Home.
