Gene Hise Sr

Funeral services for Gene Hise Sr., 64, of Moore, will be held on Friday, April 27, 2012, 2 p.m. at Stephens Memorial Chapel, in Pryor.

Pastor Kennith Stacy will officiate.

A service will also be held on Monday April 30, at 2 p.m. at Obaugh Funeral Home Chapel in McDowell, Va.

Mr. Hise was born June 3, 1947 in Hightown, Va., to Conn and Irene Hise.

He departed this life on April 20, in Moore, Oklahoma, at the age of 64 years, 10 months, and 17 days.

Mr. Hise had lived in Moore for about the last 10 years; he moved there from Shawnee. He worked as a final processor for General Motors for about 36 years.

He married Elizabeth Mayhall on Sept. 5, 2008 in Fort Smith, Ark.

He was a member of UAW Local 1999 in Midwest City. He enjoyed cooking and smoking meat. In his younger years he participated in drag car racing. He liked to watch boxing and NASCAR and also liked to hunt and fish. He was a very dedicated son and would go to Warren, Ohio, to visit his mother about three to four times a year.

He is survived by wife, Elizabeth, of the home; son, Gene Hise Jr. and wife Laura, and son Clint Hise and wife Stephanie, all of Pryor, and son Andrew Gaeta of Bakersfield, Calif.; four grandchildren, Bristol, Caleb, Natalie and Dylan; his mother, Irene Pingley of Warren, Ohio; step-daughter Cynthia of Norman; step-son Scott of Midwest City; and sister Helen Hise of Warren, Ohio.
