Fred Michael Hise, age 38, of Glasgow, and formerly of Hot Springs, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 29, 2025 at his residence.
He was born February 16, 1987, a son of the late Carolyn Sue (Robinson) Hise and Michael Harold Hise.
Fred was a member of Hot Springs Baptist Church and a graduate of Bath County High School. Always known for his strong work ethic, Fred was employed as a Barn Crew Supervisor with the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington – working with horses was an occupation that he truly appreciated and excelled at. Always an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed all types of fishing and hunting. Additionally, Fred enjoyed attending truck and tractor pulls, concerts at the West Virginia State Fair, and cookouts with his family.
Above all, Fred Michael Hise will be remembered for his love of family and his selfless approach to life, never hesitating to place others' needs ahead of his own.
Surviving family members include his father, Michael H. Hise and girlfriend, Linda Riley; his brother, Jonathan Lee Hise; sisters, Melissa Goins and husband, John, Lori Robinson, and Elizabeth Daugherty; his beloved nieces and nephews, Christina, Carrie, Johnny Lee, Wesley, Preston, and Ethan; as well as a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside funeral service will be held 1 p.m., Tuesday, April 8, 2025 in Pinehurst Cemetery, Hot Springs, with Pastor Garland Humphries officiating.
