Frank “Jack” Malcolm Crummett, 80, of the Back Creek Mountain community of Highland County, died Thursday, April 24, 2003 at the home of his son in Elkton.
He was born Jan. 24, 1923 at Charleston, W.Va., a son of the late Niram W. and Margaret Whittaker Curmmett.
Mr. Crummett served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He had worked for an aircraft manufacturing company. He also worked as a bricklayers, electrician and plumber. He was a past member of the Mill Gap Ruritan Club.
On Sept. 20, 1957, he married Edith Burkard, who died Dec. 13, 2001. He was also predeceased by a daughter.
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Monika and Dennis Rodgers of LaCrosse and Margie and Bill Lonzo of Columbus, Ohio; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tim and JoAnna Crummett of Elkton and Mike Crummett of Columbus, Ohio; eight grandchildren and one great-grandson.
A graveside service was conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 27 at the Monterey Cemetery by the Rev. Jim Noakes.
