Frances "Tessie" Nichols

Frances Louise "Tessie" Nichols, 73, of McDowell, died October 7, 1995 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Mrs. Nichols was born October 2, 1921, in Goshen and was a daughter of Audrey Martin.

She was a housewife.

Survivors include her husband, Leslie Z. Nichols; two daughters, Connie Bruce of Annandale, N.J. and Jean McCutchan of McDowell; four sons, Renn and Bobby Nichols, both of Manassas, Gary Nichols of Broad Run, and Jimmy Nichols of Warrenton; one brother, Stanley Overhulser of Manassas; and two sisters, Helen Waugh of Gaston, S.C. and Mildred Williams of Summersville, S.C.

The Rev. Jerry Ginn will conduct a memorial service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell.
