Floyd Shrader, 97, a retired farmer of Franklin, WV, died on Thursday afternoon, December 2, 1993 at Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin.
He was born on July 24, 1896 in Pendleton County, a son of John and Cidney (Pittsenbarger) Shrader.
He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, American Legion and was a veteran of World War I.
Surviving are his widow, Blanche Shrader of Franklin; daughter, Mary June Aleman of Indiana; two step-daughters, Norma Simmons of Mount Sidney, Va. and Margaret Bolton of Harrisonburg, Va.; stepson, John B. Stone of Harrisonburg; brother, Russell Shrader of Pendleton Nursing Home; sister, Mary Evelyn Simmons of Liberty House Nursing Home, Waynesboro, Va., two grandsons; and a number of great-grandchildren.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. John Lutheran Church by the Rev. Norman Nilsen with burial at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Elmer, Rodger and Robert Simmons, Roy Kimble Jr., Jack Warner and Chad Kimble.
