Ethel Mae (Puffenbarger) Botkin, 87. formerly of McDowell, died Sunday, June 28, 1992 at King's Daughters' Hospital.

She was born April 17, 1905 at McDowell, a daughter of Emory and Sarah (Crummett) Puffenbarger. She was a member of Hiner Church of the Brethren.

Her husband, Harvey Cameron Botkin, , died December 25, 1964. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Rembert and Randolph Botkin; and a daughter-in-law, Sue Botkin.

Survivors include a daughter, Audrey Mauzy of Spring Grove, Pa.,; two sons, James E. of Churchville and George Botkin of Monterey; daughter-in-law, Blanche Botkin of Bluntville, Tenn.; two sisters, Meda Moats of Woodbridge and Louella Helmick if Waynesboro; a brother, Clay Puffenbarger of Harrisonburg; and 25 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

A service will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Jerry Ginn. Burial will be in Crummett Cemetery near McDowell.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.
