Ester Marie Wagner, 82, of Monterey, died on Thursday, January 11, 1996 at Staunton Manor Nursing Home.
She was born at Highland County on October 4, 1913, a daughter of Loyd and Lela (Sponaugle) Wimer.
She was a member of Forks of the Water United brethren Church, was a cook at Blue Grass School for a number of years and retired from Aileen Inc.
Surviving are three daughters, Ruby Newcomb and Shelby Jean Millins, both of Staunton and Louise Forestel of Keller, Texas; three sons, Carl, Dale and Reid Wagner, all of Monterey; a brother, Raymond Wimer of Blue Grass; three sisters, Annie Hevener, Lillian Mullenax and Geneva Sheets, all of Churchville; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Ester was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Wagner on December 4, 1982; a son, J.B. Wagner on June 28, 1987 and a brother, Roland Wimer.
A service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Revs. Jerry Ginn and Robert Haley, with burial at Blue Grass Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Kevin, Darryl, Michael and Bradley Wagner, Dee Newcomb, Billy Mullins and Greg Foerstel.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends and family attending the service.
The family will receive friends an hour before the service.
