Elizabeth Dudley Stephenson

Elizabeth Dudley Stephenson, 101, of Monterey, died Tuesday morning, September 14, 1993 in the Pendleton Nursing Home in Franklin, WV.

She was born September 10, 1892 in Hightown and was a daughter of the late George D. and Mary Susan (Hevener) Dudley.

On October 3, 1917 she married Oscar Homes Stephenson, who died on May 22, 1944.

She was a member of the Monterey Presbyterian Church and a charger member of the Monterey Garden Club.

She is survived by a niece, Sue K. Dudley of Monterey; and a number of cousins.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, William and George Dudley; two sisters, Martha Bear and Virginia Dudley; and one nephew, George Evans Dudley.

A graveside service will be conducted 10 a.m. Friday in Monterey Cemetery by the Rev. C. William Cox.

Honorary pallbearers will be cousins attending the service.
