Elizabeth Ann (Wrobel) Buchert, 78, of Doe Hill, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 surrounded by family.
She was born February 25, 1944 in Warminster, Pa., a daughter of the late Frank and Maria (Egner) Wrobel.
A Presbyterian, Elizabeth carried a deep love for God, which she carried through all facets of her life. Elizabeth grew up in Ambler, Pa., where her parents owned “Royal Oaks,” the restaurant she and her cousin, Arlene spent much time together. Elizabeth always considered Arlene a sister.
She married Anton “Tony” Buchert and together along with their dog, Reddy, traveled throughout the U.S., Bahamas and Europe before settling in Head Waters. Elizabeth had an affection for all animals, which led her to connect with Highland County Humane Society, where in partnership she helped care for more than 30 cats.
Above all, Elizabeth will be remembered for being devoted to her family.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, “Tony” and their beloved K-9 companion, Reddy.
She is survived by her cousins, Dolores Smith of North Richland, Texas and Arlene Ziegler of Collegeville, Pa.; special cousin, who she considered a niece, Deb Majer of Limerick, Pa.; beloved friends, Darryl and Lynette Armstrong, of Doe Hill, who she resided with and became part of her family; close friends and caregivers, Billie Botkin, Kathy Puffenbarger and Ashley Armstrong.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
