Edna Mae Simmons, 83, of Mustoe, died Saturday, March 11, 2000 at the Springs Nursing Center in Hot Springs.
She was the daughter of John and Dora Ryder Ratcliffe.
Her husband, Clude E. Simmons, preceded her in death.
She retired from the housekeeping department at The Homestead in Hot Springs and had been a member of Victory Chapel Advent Christian Church.
She was the last member of her immediate family, having been preceded in death by six brothers, a sister and a foster grandson.
Survivors include two foster daughters, Sharon D. Lindsay of Warm Springs and Romona D. Arbogast of Mill Gap; a foster son, Ronald K. Duncan of Waynesboro; five foster grandchildren; five foster great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews; and great-, great-great- and great-great-great-nieces and -nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Obaugh Funeral Home by the Rev. Donald E. Rose.
Burial will be in the Hamilton Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Hubert, Eugene, John and Kyle Ratcliffe, Bob Boyd, Richard Waybright, Allen Lowry and Ricky Griffin.
Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening at the funeral home.
