Edna Louise Botkin, 76, of Staunton, died Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at Ruxton Healthcare. She was born March 23, 1931 at Hightown a daughter of the late Andrew and Hester (Bodkin) Hevener.
Mrs. Botkin was a homemaker.
On September 20, 1949, she married James Edward Botkin of Ruxton, who survives.
She is also survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Perry Simmons of Franklin, WV, Carol Nuckoles of Staunton, Sharon Altizer and Homer Moats of Verona and Wanda and Jerry Hodge of Churchville; three sons, Johnny Botkin, Jimmy Botkin and Ricky Botkin and companion, Judy Sensabaugh, all of Staunton; ten grandchildren, Dean Pitsenbarger, Kimberly Puffenbarger, Eric Nuckoles, Lori Simmons, Michael Simmons, Daniel Simmons, Jeffrey Hodge, Kevin Hodge, Ashley Botkin and Aaron Botkin, twelve great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter and a half-sister, Vivian Hevener of Harrisonburg.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, February 15, 2008 at Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by the Rev. Steven Propst.
Burial will be in Oak Lawn Memory Gardens.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers will be granddaughters and friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
