Edith Virginia (Beverage) Wagoner, who was born to the home of the late Homer H. and Louie E. Fleisher Beverage of Monterey on June 9, 1916 and departed this life on September 13, 2007 at the age of 91 years. On September 28, 1946 she married, Center Oscar Wagoner, who preceded her in death on December 8, 1979.
Mrs. Wagoner attended the Methodist Church. She retired from Aileen, Inc.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Wagoner and fiancée, Pam Wilson and Larry Wagoner and his wife, Patty; three grandsons, John Wagoner and his wife, Tonya, Jeffrey Wagoner and his wife, Teresa and David Wagoner; five great-grandchildren, Ashley, Brianna, Carley, Ryan and Jonathan Wagoner, all of Staunton.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday, September 16, 2007 at the Obaugh Funeral Home in McDowell by Brother Mancil Doolittle and Rev. Jim Harris.
Burial will be in Monterey Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Glenn Halterman, Dennis Compton, Robert Marshall, Jr., Mike Clift, Albert Simmons and James Duke. Honorary pallbearers will be friends attending the service.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m., Saturday at the funeral home.
