Edith Crummett, 63, of the Back Creek Community in Highland County, died Thursday, December 13, 2001 at her residence.
She was born January 12, 1938, in Germany, a daughter of the late Herman and Theresa (Fisher) Burkard.
She was a homemaker and a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church and Beulah Women of the Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Survivors include her husband, Frank M. Crummett of Monterey, whom she married September 20, 1957; a son and daughter-in-law, Tim and JoAnna Crummett of Elkton; a daughter and son-in-law, Monika and Dennis Rogers of LaCrosse; six grandchildren Eric and James Rogers, Craig and Natasha and Sabrina Crummett and Jennifer Runion; a great-grandson, Trysten Crummett; a brother, Wolfgang Burkard of Germany; and her best friends, Donna Eckhart.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Monterey Cemetery by the Rev. James W. “Bill” Moore.
Pallbearers will be Joe and John Brock, Gibby Crummett, Bob Eckhart, Dennis Rogers and Harry Harlow.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
The casket will be closed. There will be no visitation at Obaugh Funeral Home.
