Eddie Siron

Eddie Arnold Siron, 63, died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at his residence.

He was born November 12, 1938 at Highland County, a son of William Homer and Della Mae (Simmons) Siron.

He was a member of Franklin Independent Baptist Church and also attended Highland Baptist church. He served in the Marine Corps. He was employed at Westinghouse for 23 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving are his wife, Gaynelle Siron, whom he married June 17, 1961; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sherrie Lynn Siron of The Springs Nursing Center, Kelly S. Botkin and her husband, David of Monterey; a son, Timothy A. Siron of the home; three granddaughters, Kimberly, Laura and Megan Botkin of Monterey; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte Simmons and her husband, Roy Sr. of Staunton, Thelma Pultz and her husband, Gary, also of Staunton, Doris Armstrong and husband Bud, of McDowell, Gail Bowers and husband, Marty of Franklin, W.Va.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Olen Carroll Siron and wife, Nancy of Swoope and James Siron and wife, JoAnn, of McDowell; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Obaugh Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Ginn officiating. Burial will be in McKendree Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Roy Gutshall, Ernie Hartless, Sandra Moats, Leland Brown, Edwin Crigler, Richard Botkin, Rudolph Siron and Tom Jones.

Honorary pallbearers will be family and friends from 7 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Highland County Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 268, Monterey, Va. 24465.
